About

We do research in digital engineering at the highest international level, educate and supervise PhD- and master students at OsloMet, and contribute to innovation in society.

Simula Metropolitan Center for Digital Engineering AS (SimulaMet) was established in 2018 to strengthen the research and education capacity in ICT and digitalisation. The core research areas at SimulaMet are communication systems, machine learning and data science, and information technology management.

SimulaMet is jointly owned by Simula Research Laboratory (51%) and Oslo Metropolitan University (49%). The company is OsloMet's strategic partner in research, PhD- and MSc- education in digital engineering, while organised as a limited company and part of the Simula group.

The board of directors consists of six members elected by the owners in the General Assembly and two members elected by the employees of SimulaMet.
